My average spiral of tiredness

HAI! I'm Rebekah, aka Velvetpelt, and I JUST POSTED!!! And most of my people drawings on the computer look like crap because I'm simply to lazy to go to great lengths just so that I can fail at the attempt at drawing a well detailed person on Paint. ANYWAY, yeah. So.... I'm tired, so I'm going to discuss how my levels of tiredness spiral the longer I'm in an attempt to stay awake.

PHASE 1: Normal

Normally, this is how I am after a few hours in the morning, and a few hours in the night. I don't feel even slightly tired, and I actually appear to have..... you know.... a life.

PHASE 2: Meh...

Normally happens at night starting at 10:00. I'm starting to feel tired, but it's not like I could just crumple on the floor in a sleeping heap.

PHASE 3: Sudden need to occupy myself.

Around 10:30-11:00. Normally, when my parents would kill me if I was still awake, I have to wait until I'm starting to doze off, which, of course, is when my parents are asleep enough for me to be able to goof off on my laptop without them being aware.

FINAL PHASE: Asleep

I am officially tired, I can type nothing but a few incoherent sentences.

Now, every now and then, there will be a post phase that will set in somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes. There are two possibilities.

POST PHASE #1: I suddenly realize something important...

It could be homework, a short story, having to memorize something, or anything else. Whatever it is, I had a deadline for it, and it suddenly occurs to me that I've put it off until now, and I need to finish it so I don't die. I just be in my bed, listening to "Born Again" by Newsboys or something, you know, all "happyasleepunawarehappyalseepunware" and peaceful, and right when I'm almost asleep, my eyes literally FLY open, and I'm just like, "OH. CRAP. O.O" So I end up unwillingly staying up yet another hour trying to finish whatever the little bugger was..... -.-

POST PHASE #2: Might as well go through with it

Sometimes, if it's really, REALLY early in the morning and I happen to be up, I'll just give up on sleep and go, "Oh, what the heck. I might as well just stay up the rest of the time and go to sleep tomorrow." So then I just write something while rocking out to music to keep myself awake.
